An ochre lane on Gorée Island

Gorée Island

WHY SPEND TIME HERE

An island of remembrance off Dakar. Ochre lanes, a heritage to understand, and time to pause.

Gorée is a place of remembrance of the Atlantic slave trade, inscribed on the World Heritage List. Allow time to understand its history as well as walk its lanes. Our suggestion: set aside half a day without rushing between visits.
